There are three international airports and one local airport to consider. O'Hare International AIrport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW) are in Chicagoland. Both are situated about 2.5 hours away from Champaign by car. If you prefer not to drive, there are also options to complete your journey to Champaign by bus or train. Indianapolis International Airport (IND), in Indiana, is the third major airport located just over two hours from Champaign. From IND, options to continue your journey include: (a) flying domestically to Willard, the local airport near Champaign (described in the next paragraph); (b) driving a rental vehicle; or (c) riding the Greyhound bus. For the bus, one would need to take a taxi or an Uber from IND to Indianapolis Bus Station (see directions), the departure point for Greyhound buses. (Note: We discourage taking Amtrak rail this route as it is relatively inconvenient.)
Willard Airport (CMI) is a small airport near Champaign and is approximately 17 minutes from the ceremony venue. The following lists reflect details about the airports along with estimated distances and directions to the ceremony venue.
